Cress Heads
Cress heads is a great fun project as Therapies go.
I have done Cress Heads with a number of groups and incorporated it in with other Indoor Gardening Activities, or as a side line to a Craft I may have done at the time.
Generally what It involves is to get the resident to decorate a small pot with Googly Eyes and Draw/paint on a mouth, then it is just a simple case of filling the pot with either, soil from another project you may be working on, or scrumple up a piece of Kitchen towel and poke that into the pot, then Place a disk of cotton wool on the top.
Once you have done that, liberally sprinkle the cress seeds on top, then place on a windowsill and wait about 5 - 6 Days for the Cress to grow.
Before you start this project, you must explain that it is just a fun thing. If any of the Residents believes it to be at all Demeaning or Degrading avoid doing the project with them.
